Beyond perfection.

My first trip to Greece and my only regret is not booking more time in Crete at this amazing place. The villa is a wonder--like something out of Architectural Digest--spacious, interesting, private. Clean, comfortable--everything you want. The owners were beyond helpful--helped us with the villa as well as car rental and a few other things. Great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Easy to get hold of and immediately responsive. Loved interacting with them. Beautiful back garden spot for breakfast. Really, I can't think of a thing they could do to improve it. Do yourself a favor and book this gem.

AMAZING STAY

We traveled with our 10 year old daughter and my parents at their late 70s. Amazing property just south to Chania, Crete. 45 to 60 min drive from the fabulous beaches of Falassarna and Sfinari. The villa is beautiful it looks exactly as appears in the photos. Super clean, well organized and welcoming. The owners Despina and Niko thought of every possible detail. Despina is the ultimate host from welcoming and through out our stay she made every effort that we would be supper happy and well taken care of. More than a Villa. A home away from home. Best-in-class

This is our third year in a row staying at Conte Marino Villas. We are a family of 5 and absolutely love this place. As the title of this review suggests, these are more than just Villas. They have all the amenities of home (ultra fast Broadband, 4K Smart TV, Bose sound system, modern kitchen) with a high-end Villa design (modern architecture, lovely pool, quality furniture, plenty of A/C). The pool is a particular plus, especially for kids as theres plenty of shallow end and the deep end isnt too deep. Theres also a lovely garden with Orange trees to pick from. Luxury villa stay with pool and all the amenities

What a fantastic villa! You start your day with a delicious breakfast cooked by the private chef in the kitchen and eating area right behind the villas. Every day had new menu items and eggs with an amazing taste. The villa was stocked with all amenities, including a washer/dryer, thoughtful treats basket, fully stocked kitchen for cooking, organic bathroom shampoo, etc and large pool towels. My favorite daily activities included picking oranges from the garden trees and making fresh-squeezed orange juice and also relaxing in the pool. The beach is a short drive away and quiet and beautiful. Cleaners come every few days and keep the villa immaculate. It was a dream holiday.

A warm welcome and a wonderful stay

We spent 10 wonderful days in July in Orangia, one of the Conte Marino Villas, but the planning by Despina, the owner, started much before that. Nothing was too much to ask and she helped us organise a high quality hire car and we arrived to a warm welcome and a stocked fridge and pantry. We also booked in advance an evening with Viktoras, the villas private chef which was a lovely treat! The villa itself was fantastic - beautifully done, spacious, air-conditioned throughout with a large pool and garden. And kept in perfect condition. Wed thoroughly recommend the villas and look forward to being able to Reuters in the future!

Fabulous getaway!

Villa Conte Marino is a fabulous getaway. We were in Villa Mandarina - the middle villa - and our stay was exceptional. The quality of the finishes, thoughtful details and amenities made for an unforgettable stay. From morning breakfast to afternoon cocktails we couldnt have asked for a better place. Our mornings began with a private chef serving a delicious breakfast and catering to all sorts of food restrictions (gluten free and dairy free) - the food was so good. The freshly squeezed orange juice, straight from the trees on the property, was incredible. The chefs really were terrific! The villas are beautifully designed with high end finishes, well stocked and very comfortable. Every amenity is thought through, allowing one to relax and feel pampered. Unwinding poolside

Extraordinary luxury villas with lovely grounds and pools

Wonderful luxury villas with lovely grounds and pools, and all the comforts and amenities. Beautiful inside and out. Also with extraordinary daily breakfasts served by private chef. Extremely accommodating to various diet restrictions. Villas were immaculate and thoughtfully stocked. The welcome baskets with local foods to complete an entire meal were an extra special touch. A little more structure to check in, cleaning and schedule (fixed breakfast time) than we are used to, but always well-communicated and very well done. We enjoyed every minute and highly recommend.

Amazing Vacation

In this perfect location, off the beaten path, lies an absolutely gorgeous set of three home for rent, all at the very top of the line, luxurious as they are comfortable, housing every amenity needed. But if thats not enough, the owner, Despina, is one of the warmest, nicest, resourceful, and welcoming hostess you could hope to find. She welcomes you with open arms and is available to you for anything you may possibly need, including recommendations of where to go and what to do. To top it all, is the breathtaking location of the villas- just near Chania. With beautiful scenery, beautiful people, and beautiful beaches and food. This is Cretes best kept secret and a once in a life time experience- to feel like a local with all the luxuries of an exclusive private resort.

17 amazing nights

From the moment we arrived until we left this beautiful villa and we felt at home from the moment we walked in. I had spoken to Despina a couple of months before arrival and her service was impeccable. She helped me organize cars, taxi transfer and also had some groceries ready before arriving. The breakfast each morning was amazing from Victor the chef !!! Each day we had something different, fresh and local. The Villa was breathtaking! 3 big rooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Now lets talk about the pool!!! We used it every day and my family loved every minute of it! The villa is only 10 min from the beach and main attraction. Not to far from the highway so getting around to the main beaches or going to Chania is not far. We spent 17 amazing nights and my family of 7 people loved

Perfect for our first family holiday!

As a new family with a six month old baby, we were so nervous travelling and finding a place in Chania. Despina really came through with accommodating us throughout our stay, having contacted us prior and prepared for our babys arrival to the villa. It was a refreshing holiday with a lot more freedom than you would typically get in a hotel resort, with everything you would need all provided by the villa - we had days where we would just stay, cook, and swim in the pool with our little one and days where we could securely leave our things at the villa and pop by to the town or go out to sea. Magical Spot Near Chania

My husband and our 2 teenagers just returned from this lovely Oasis near Chania and we all agreed we could not have picked a better location or house for our visit. Not only is the villa stunningly beautiful and immaculate, but our host, Despina, was so incredibly welcoming and generous. From the welcome basket filled with wine, olives and other specialty items from Crete, Cretan bath products in the bathrooms, and the most amazing breakfast spread freshly prepared each morning by her chef, we felt like our every need was anticipated. She was so helpful in recommending beaches, towns and restaurants. She even reserved a table for us our first night. The house itself is so lovely. Good to be back!

We have just returned from a glorious week in villa Mandarina, this was our third visit and once again we fell in love with this place even more. It was lovely seeing Despina and her team, they really do know how to look after you in a very professional, discreet way. My highlight was an early morning yoga class by the pool, then on our last night Despina organised her chef to cook a tasty Cretan supper for us a beautiful way to end our week away. - perfect location if you want to stay near chania and the stunning northwestern beaches ( falassarna was our favourite ) - very helpful and caring owners - optional pool heating is great during the off-season ( october ) ( pre heated to 26/27° at arrival ) - optional private cook is a nice goodie especially for the first evening/morning - great value for the money - high quality interior and nice architecture - you do not notice the nearby 2 other villas - absolute privacy - plenty of restaurants within a few minutes by car - you dont even have to drive to chania ( we liked the 'RusticGarden' or the 'Quizz' in platanias - will definitely come back ...

Fantastic stay at Villa Mandarina

Fantastic stay at Villa Mandarina. The villa was luxuriously decorated , clean and faultless; the architecture is truly brilliant. The villa itself is equipped with everything you could possibly require, extremely spacious (we were 2 couples and would have ample room for 3 couples). The outside area is very large with outdoor sound system and gets the sun all day. Despina, the host, was fantastic from start to finish, answering all questions during the booking period and even organised a chef to make breakfast for us on the first morning. I highly recommend this luxury villa for any group! The village is within walking distance however we used a driver recommended by Despina to visit the local winery and Chania.

Fantastic family holiday in a stunning villa!

Despina is a wonderful and welcoming host who reached out to us immediately once the booking was made. She met us on arrival at the villa to give us a tour, also leaving a prepared welcome hamper which is just what we needed after our travel there. The villa itself is stunning, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with the pool and garden area being particularly beautiful. We stayed for 10 days (family of 3) in Villa Orangina, and as we stayed in April, we opted to have pool heating (which is an extra charge). We enjoyed the privacy of the villa and the surrounding area which is very peaceful and quiet. Despina, our host, was the most helpful and enjoyable person to work with in all our travels. We had weather related travel delays, lost passports, unexpected tour occurrences which she helped us navigate through. The on site breakfast by chef Victor was spectacular and he even catered in a meal for us on request. The villas architecture and artwork was superb and special welcoming touches were noted on arrival. The patio sunset views were not to be missed against the mountains and the blue sea. Hopefully we can visit again. If you are in Crete dont miss it.

Beautiful stay

Despina is an excellent hostess. Great communications before we arrived so we know what to expect. She also prepared a wonderful welcome basket with local products that we truly enjoyed and brought olive oil and honey back home in the US, which reminds us about the good time spent at the villa. The villa is super clean, well pointed with high end furnitures and all the modern conveniences. Master bedroom on the 2nd floor has panoramic view of the surrounding area, from snow dotted mountains, olive ranchers, to the sea. We also loved the breakfast in the open air kitchen/dining room. Luxury villa stay for the whole family

Our stay at Villa Orangia, Conte Marino Villas, was first class. The villa and gardens/ pool are beautiful and practical. The space works, and the villa is beautifully airconditioned throughout so we slept well every night on lovely bedding/ pillows/ mattresses. The location is great - there is a supermarket 2-3 minutes drive, Platanias is less than 10 min drive with a lovely beach and restaurants for lunch, and you can access the beautiful West and South coast beaches with a car. We had brilliant days at Elafonisi, Balos beach (via a private boat trip from Fallasarna) and Sfiniri, which is on the wild, rocky west coast but worth it for the fresh fish at Captain Fidaes's restaurant. Exceptional vacation

We spent a week at the Villa Orangia and enjoyed every minute of it. Despina is a wonderful host and get in touch with you beforehand and makes sure to meet every wish. She has amazing suggestions for dining, booking appointments and she even made all the calls necessary to find our lost luggage. The Villa itself is a mix of modern architecture and traditional housing. You und everything you need. There is a great kitchen, we cooked a lot of meals and used the vegetables from the garden in the compound. Breakfast ist individually cooked by Dimitri every morning which is a blast. We plan to come back!!

Premium villa - lovely host - perfect holiday!

We booked our stay after the beautiful pictures on the website. When we arrived, it exceeded our expectations. The house Mandarina is full of premium furniture and all apliances are present! We were blown away by the amazing pool which was cleaned every morning, and started our day with a lovely and varieing breakfast prepared by the private chefs. We proceeded the day by following all the tips Despina gave us. We dined at amazing restaurants, enjoyed beautiful nice beaches (falasarna) and went on a private boat trip, all aranged with recommandations of Our lovely host. This was certainly one of the better experiences we enjoyed in our travel life, thanks to al Cretenzian people, we will be back!

Wonderful week at Villa Orangia

We spent a wonderful week last week at Villa Orangia (one of the three villas at Conte Marino). We booked very last minute as our original holiday was cancelled due to quarantine restrictions. Despina was so helpful from the moment we booked, in contact in WhatsApp to immediately check details and get the villa ready for us with 24 hours notice. She also put the pool heating on for us. The villa is in a great location - 20 minutes or so from Chania and 40 mins from the airport. It was end of season so we didnt sample many of the local beach towns which were quiet but spent most of our evenings in Chania old town which was still bustling and very charming. The pool at the villa is lovely - around 15 metres and perfect for kids and also adults wanting to swim lengths. It Is set
