Ash Monday in Chania, February 23th

It is a movable feast that occurs at the beginning of the 7th week before Orthodox Easter Sunday.
The common term for this day, "Clean Monday", refers to the leaving behind of sinful attitudes and non-fasting foods.

The Municipality of Chania invites you ALL to celebrate together at Alsos of Agion Anargyron on Monday February 23th, starting from  11:30 am at parking area, with traditional offerings and rich music-dance program.
Inside the groove (in greek Alsos), everybody will have the opportunity to participate to the ecological workshop “harmonious Balance”, while circus rope dancers, stilts, acrobats, jugglers will entertain with their tricks.
